Abstract

This paper is mainly about the role of patriarch in Dream of the Red Chamber, combined with other historical resource about Qing clan. Started with the rationality of using Dream of the Red Chamberas a historical resource for analyzing Qing patriarch role. Followed with the different aspects of patriarch. The patriarch in Qing clan is special and different with other dynasties.
