Abstract

The program explores the artistic elements of fugue and the usage of color contrast through the pieces selected. The complete repertoire includes Prelude & Fugue No. 4 in C-sharp minor, BWV 849 by J.S. Bach, Nocturne in B Major, Op. 62 No. 1 by Frederic Chopin, Sonata No. 31 in A-flat Major, Op.110 by Ludwig Van Beethoven, Andante Spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante in E-flat Major, Op.22 by Frederic Chopin, and Sonata No.3 in F-sharp minor, Op.23, I. Drammatico by Alexander Scriabin.
