Abstract

This program explores the ways in which composers from the Romantic and Impressionistic eras use their music and compositional techniques to create a variety of images. The complete repertoire includes Claude Debussy’s Estampes, Maurice Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit, and both Frederic Chopin’s Fantaisie in F Minor, op. 49 and Ballade No.1 in G Minor, op. 23.
