Abstract

A poetic interrogation of the limits of language, the relevance of mythical figures in modernity, the sexual becoming of young, mixed-race women in Western culture, and the sexual existence of their mothers. This collection uses the system of the Parisian metro to open up intersections of violence, consent, and consumption by imagining Persephone as the metro's bride.
